As I said, there is no need to do anything with the seed.
Just do:
SET IDENTITY_INSERT YoruTable OFF
--- Do the Insert and make sure you didn't insert duplicated values
SET IDENTITY_INSERT YoruTable ON
That is all.
SQL Server will handle the re-seed of the column.
