I've found that IE 4.01 and FPW 2.6 don't play particularly nicely together. I've found that re-installing FPW helps. Also, if you're using Outlook try unloading it before you run FPW 2.6.

As for learning VFP, you may want to try creating a new application with the application wizard. Read the manuals and look at the foundation classes. I would highly recommend Will Hentzen's book. I found his 3.0 book very helpful when I first started with VFP. I think his new VFP 6.0 version just came out or is due any day. Go to www.hentzenwerke.com for more info.

>Yesterday, my VFP6.0 finally arrived and I installed it right away. I also had to install MSIE4.01 and the MSDN Library, so I had to reboot my PC 4 times! What a pain!

>Problem: I still have FP2.6 installed on my office's LAN, but when I try to open it, it will sometimes lockup my PC. My mouse arrow will move, but clicking doesn't work, and my wallpaper just sits there. It didn't start doing this until after I installed VFP6. Any ideas or suggestions here?

>Question: Short of investing in books which I may not use for a while, is there some way I can familiarize myself with VFP? Right now, I can get in and wander around, but I'm reluctant to do anything really strenuous for fear I might "blow something up," as one of our users puts it.
