>Just shows how economics is a faith based religion not a fact. Two obviously intelligent people can completely fail to agree while remaining absolutely certain of their "rightness". I'm a Ryanist myself. I may build a small temple in the garden.

The general fallacy of the economy as a fake science is that it wades in abstractions while its subject matter is the behavior of people. They always pull some kind of model (and they are notoriously bad at maths, most of them; even those that are efficient in it, don't understand it), and then live in that model. The ultimate lie is "the numbers don't lie" - sure, your Excel has only a few bugs and I am pretty sure the calculations are correct, but the distance between your model and reality is never zero. Actually, it increases as you go, just like your look to the horizon leaves Earth. Whatever they invent to fix the mess du jour, will only cause people to adjust to their doing, start behaving differently, poke different holes in the system, and what may have worked when applied to a certain situation will not work anymore, because it has changed the situation.

And applying what may have worked in one country in another is a near sure road to disaster. The situations are not the same at all. They may get lucky, though - several errors annihilating each other.
