It has a ONE great web framework, not a plethora like python
The fwk works with "convention over configuration", allowing very fast results.
This is not the python way - a python koan is the "explicit is better than implicit"
IMHO having sensible defaults like CoC is smarter.

Python is much broader, more established and IMHO the better language,
but you have to pick and choose, esp. amongst web tools.
Writing a Webserver or other web stuff in Python is very easy,
sometimes only takes 1 not too large source file.
Perhaps too many good frameworks act as a splintering force.
The new hot current thing is Node.JS - a nonblocking server built on V8 allowing you
the same language back- and front-end. If JS were a better desgined language,
this would be my pick - and the need for JS browser side might make it IAC.
