>>So, are you guys saying that if you are an adult woman walking in the park and you are gang raped by a group of Hell Angels members it is your fault?
>
>Where is this park? Is it well lit? Is it well policed? Are the Hell's Angels known to hang out there? Are they known to commit rape there?

The park is in the center of the town, in front of the church this nun was heading towards to attend noon mass. The Hell's Angels were just traveling thru town and were not known in it, they just happened to pass thru there while heading to LA. There is also the rumor that the Schneider family were having a party in the same town and witnessed the event, but did nothing to help the nun as they strongly believed that all nun's decisions in her life inexorably lead her to this outcome and fully deserved to be in the position she was.

>>Or if you are driving in the highway and a drunk driver collides head on with you killing most of your family it is also your fault?
>
>Yes. I would question my self intensely over something like this. Was I paying close enough attention? Was I speeding? Was I fully on my side of the road? Why didn't I swerve? Just as with the few accidents I've been in, legally none of them were my fault, however, that does not absolve me from blaming myself for the unnecessary time/convienience lost having my car repaired. In each instance I could've been paying closer attention and avoided the idiot that crashed into me.

Of course you are going to question yourself about your actions, that is human nature, but that does not make you responsible from the crash, it makes you a victim.

>
>>What if you are accused of a murder you did not commit, your fault too?
>
>Yes. In most cases there's a wrong place wrong time element here, but let's go with the purely "picked at random" accused. Why didn't I make enough money to hire the best dream team of lawyers to ensure I'm never convicted. Why wasn't I envolved enough in local politics to ensure a corrupt prosicuter and/or sherriff never hold a position of power? Why don't I have an alibi?

Actually you hired the best dream team of lawyers, and you were not convicted, but the price of your freedom made you homeless, and nobody helps you as they correctly assume that the wrong decisions in your life put you in that situation. As for the prosecutor and the sheriff they were not corrupt, they made a genuine mistake and you did not have an alibi for you were alone in the cinema watching "Capitalism, a love history", and for that you truly are questioning yourself! (and that is why your family would not help you either!) (I think I am making the case for you now ;P)
