Yes, there is a better term. I heard that one in a class in the early 90's. The class was concentrated on OOP and the major terminologies where explained. I am pretty sure someone out here can know what this is.
As for the other languages that supports it, the link provided in a previous message in this class lists them all or most of them. This is not pretty much used anymore because of its complexity to support and because, IMHO, it would lead the developer into a wrong direction by being attracted to use some of those routes to resolve issues when it wouldn't be recommended.
