>>I've got a stored procedure that I'm trying to execute from a VFP program. If I execute the stored procedure from Query Analyzer takes less than 1 second. However, the same call performed as a SQL passthru from within a VFP application could take anywhere between 14~40 seconds. What would account for the delay?

Slow in the Application, Fast in SSMS?Thanks, took a while to read through article.
Tried removing the stored procedure and add it back again, then noticed an improvement in speed -- however after a few tries it went back to taking a long time to execute -- pointing that it's probably something in the stored procedure and how SQL Server is setting up excution plan (as indicated in article).
