I was thinking I may try to create a cursor in advance with the M nocptrans and append from the cursor from SQL Server.
I actually didn't see MS EditBox which is mentioned in Rick's article, so I found MS Forms2 Textbox in the list of ActiveX I have.

I also have a recollection I read an article before about this control and unicode, but quick Google search turned fruitless, so I don't know.
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
