Hi Luis,

I moved to PHP and Postgres and I am very happy. The price for most if free and there is a lot of community support. I did lessen the learning curve for now by sticking to windows and IIS but I will eventually move to Lynux and Apache. I did spring for Zend studio as an IDE but there is are a number good free IDEs available.

I selected Postgres over Mysql because of many comments from other developers that had used both. Also, there is that Oracle thing as well.

>I'm planning to begin developing web applications but my main and almost only programming language I know, and work with, is VFP 9. So I guess I should adopt one of the mentioned above. I would like to know which one of them is the easiest to learn, the stronger to support a lot of concurrent users. Or which one would you recommend?
