That OCX works just fine on Windows 7 as long as it's registered properly.

You have to use REGSVR32 running as administrator (I don't mean logged in as an administrative user but run the EXE as administrator). The easiest way to do that is to run CMD.EXE as administrator (click Start, type CMD, select CMD.EXE, right-click and choose Run as Administrator). Then type REGSVR32, space, and the path to the OCX.
