>I currently have a VFP 3.0 application. Is there any danger in converting it to VFP 5.0 and continuing all further coding in VFP 5.0. My users will use the distributable EXE. And one of my users who may need to access data outside of the system has VFP 3.0. Should I forsee any problems?
I did this recently too, and had only these problems:
1) the dbc the project uses got corrupted during conversion
2) Some fonts and colors were altered, needed resetting
3) My foxuser dbf got some bad settings and needed recreating
Other than that, works fine, and vfp5 is much improved over 3.
You can't use many vfp5 files in 3, so vfp3 won't do much good with a vfp5 app -- that user can run an installed exe if 32-bit platform as noted...
