>It looks like the thing I've always dreamt of, but, is that much true? Anybody else has any experience with FoxInCloud??

Hi, I'm Gilles Lajot-Sarthou,
I would like to share my experience with FoxInCloud.
Thanks to FoxInCloud, I could move my software business up one step by offering a web version of my ERP application for medical laboratories.

This VFP application (BIOSIL) took five man-years to develop and includes 58 forms, 52 reports, 26 remote views and 29 tables in a PostgreSQL database.

Discovering both FoxInCloud and the WEB world, and adapting BIOSIL as BIOSILWEB took me 5 months until we switched to production.

To me, FoxInCloud means:
- no heavy installation on client machines, updates for every user in a matter of minutes
- no constraint related to client computers instabilities
- central, professional hosting of data and application with guarantee a high level of operational and safety (permanent online backup .)
- ability to reach new customers very easily, through instant trial and fast prototyping easy debugging (email plus on-line log whenever an application error occurs)

For my clients with FoxInCloud is:
- manage multiple production sites from a single central place
- no more need to administer database, backups, etc.
- ability to open new laboratories or reach clients with a simple browser and an internet connection

To make this possible, it was necessary that I get a grasp on operating in WEB mode compared to usual LAN mode. Once these differences understood, the adaptation of my source code was performed with fluidity and ease.

FoxInCloud did fulfill its mission as advertised: adapt an existing VFP application from a single-user-per-session executable into a multi-user-per-session Web server. At this stage, we serve over 10 simultananeous users from a single server with absolutely no bug.

You may experience a test & demo version of BioSilWeb at http://www.foxincloud.com/ctbtest/, login DEMO DEMO

I wish everyone the same success as I had with FoxInCloud.

Faithfully,

Gilles-LAJOT SARTHOU
