Amen! I'm still around here somewhere (aka"lurking") and noticed this discussion. I mostly know windows, also Unix/Linux/AIX etc. but in 17 years of supporting our payment processing application with 7,000-8,000 users I can recall only ONE request for support on an Apple OS (nothing for Linux). Pretty much for clients (desktop and likely most web based) Windows is the only relevant OS. Kind of makes cross platform capability immaterial in the corporate world and for those situations where it is desirable then a web based app will have to do. And that's fine by me because I have too many other things to keep up between the ever changing business environment and understanding women and children.
