Make sure the patched version is loaded/used when you are accesing data in MsSql.
Think about it the same way vfp searches along paths for code, vcx or fll's.
Iv vfp you can also have the "wrong" version of a prg, and similar strategies apply
(from controlling the path to deleting/overwriting other versions)
Update:
after reading John's answer and in view of the fact that MS resurrected ODBC for SqlS,
using pyODBC seems the better choice with DABO-typical CPython.
