I had a vcx file which I had named controls. It was originally created in VFP 3.0. In VFP 6.0 (Dont know about VFP 5.0 since I never used it) I was not able to use newobject or addobject for any classes in this vcx. I moved all the classes to another vcx and addobject/newobject now work fine ( a dangerous practice renaming all the classloc fields for all my forms ). My questions is, was I using a restricted name or what to prevent newobject/addobject from working with this class? It worked fine in all other respects. This did cause me a good deal of trouble trying to figure out why these commands did not work and did not even generate an error.
