If you've ever programmed for dumb (or not so smart) terminals in a mainframe environment the idea's pretty much the same, just more bells and whistles. When the web first started coming on I thought to myself how technology had now gone full circle from dumb terminals with the brains in the host to PC with all that intelligence at the user's finger tips back to dumb PCs with all the intelligence on the server.
