You can pay by the course ("production"), the month, or the year. It looks like I am grandfathered into something because I pay $19 a month, which is like stealing. The current monthly price is $26 for unlimited access. For this you get advanced instruction from world class experts. Part of my current enthusiasm for ASP.NET MVC is due to TekPub classes offered by Rob Conery and Steven Sanderson. There are several such classes available and if you go for the course they average about $30 each. You just can't beat that, especially compared to the typical weekly classroom training cost. Pick a course and spend a day or two of a crappy winter weekend immersing yourself. Now that is investing in your professional skills economically.
