One column in the grid contains a checkbox connected to a logical field in the cursor which the user can use to select multiple records for further processing. Is there a way to hide or disable the checkbox if another field in that same record is blank, for example?

Try:
*** Form Init event
thisform.Grid1.ColumnWhereYouShowTestedField.DynamicFontBold = "thisform.SetFont()"

*** Add a new method in form named SetFont
*** In it:
thisform.ColumnWithCheckBoxName.Check1.Enabled = NOT EMPTY(TheField)
RETURN thisform.Grid1.ColumnWhereYouShowTestedField.FontBold
