From what I recall, Stonefield Query is focused on the end-user experience and can do what you want. I think their site has videos as well as the free trial, I'd recommend taking a look at it.

>My question is aimed at refreshing the look and feel of the many reports we already generate. Allowing the user to tweak the presentation of the report: showing or hiding data columns, varying the order and width of columns, exporting to Excel, PDF, as well as memorizing the look.

>I specified a .NET class because, sadly, more development is going on in that platform today and I want to widen the range of options. I have found some COM kits, and I'm certainly not against those. I am definitely looking for some pizzaz besides the performace, though.

>>>Hi,
>>>
>>>We've just started using Peachtree Accouning and I love the report interface. Users can add or delete fields from report, vary the look in the report editor, save the choices and export results to different formats,
>>>
>>>I'd like to provide that great experience with the reports of our VFP application, which brings up two questions. First, is there a .NET class that I can purchase that mimics the behavior of the Peachtree report interface and second, how do you go about interfacing an VFP application to such a .NET class. I believe the second part can be done, so I am just sort of asking for confirmation at this time. More important for now is to find the .NET class that can do the job.
>>>
>>>The class I'm talking about is only for presentation. All data would be prepared in VFP and turned over to the class.
>>
>>Does it have to be a .Net class? I recall some time ago seeing a demo of Stonefield Query ( http://www.stonefieldquery.com/ ), it was fairly impressive. A free trial version is available.
Regards. Al
