IIRC he happened about 150 years ago -a time where the printing press had been in use and some scientific thinking
has percolated through most of the people living then.
So my standards set to newer "relevations" are higher than to those from barely civilised -
which is/was the whole arabic peninsula compared to graeco/roman levels of thought even back then in my opinion.

And yes, I think those not believing in Darwin compared to some divine intervention a couple of thousand years ago
to be similarly off the rocker compared to the things Victor mentions.

agreed, but I expect those living in the last few centuries to live up to the knowledge arrived at.
Granted that belief in the Spagetthi monster can be argued for "logically" I still think current day prophets should
be compared/weighed on current day information.
