Speaking only for myself, I shelled out $10 purely out of my respect for Ken. There are things in the video that are not VFP specific, that go to the heart of being a great developer. Ten bucks, that was money well spent.

In my case it isn't a refusal to change. I have been studying and trying to move to .NET for five years. (And four times I have been outright lied to. They told me I would be part of the conversion team and used me like a ho to maintain the legacy app). It's the Catch 22 of not being able to get a job without experience and not being able to get experience without having had jobs. At this point I would take a first .NET job for little money. I can take it from there.
