>There has been talk here lately that VFP does not play well with Win 7 64 bit.

I've been using VFP with Win 7 64 for the last year or so (and some of our users too), and only found four problems (that I can remember now), all easily addressable, maybe one not desirable:

1 - Unable to automate Office 64, in particular we use Outlook a lot, solution: Install Office 32 bits instead of 64 and it works without trouble, this might not be desirable...

2 - ODBC, You need to remember to run SysWOW64\ODBCad32.exe instead of running the normal one to get the right drivers and then it works without problem

3 - This is mostly our mistake, but in a lot of our projects we included files from the foxpro installation folder (some .h files, do not even know why we did such a travesty) and the folder would be different for me running 64 bits than for the other developers running 7 32, but I cannot put the blame on VFP on this one :)

4 - We had some problems with some ActiveXs (Common Controls and such) but that was easily solvable, do not remember how thou, as we solved and then the image installation we use includes the solution)

Everything else works just fine, for us developers and for our users.
