>>Hi,

>>I have a customer that requires that my pc is encrypted, in order to connect to the server (for maintenance) via VPN. How does the process of encrypting of a PC goes? Does it slow down my PC for my regular work?

>If you are talking about disk encryption, if it is hardware supported it won't have a very noticable effect on your work.

>If it is Bitlocker encryption from the OS, you might notice a difference in speed. Nothing major.
This is what the customer says regarding the encryption:
the "OrganizationName" laptop encryption policy requires that any connection to the "OrganizationName" network to
conduct "OrganizationName"-related business from a laptop requires that the laptop be encrypted.
TrueCrypt (open source) is an acceptable encryption solution. It should be pretty straightforward to install. Alternatively,
if the person is supporting a specific system, there may be other solutions that would allow them to move off using VPN.
Does the above mean software encryption?
