Few years ago I would suggest printing into a .ps file, then converting it by GhostScript - which worked great. Took some time to set up (GS is somewhat tricky with fonts) but then I produced png, pdf, jpg, setting resolution any way I wanted - didn't try tiff, but IIRC it was an option.

Nowadays, the PostScript printer driver is past its 20th birthday, Adobe simply didn't do anything with it since, and it won't install on 64-bit Windowses anyway.
