Hi Robin,
> I have heard that Fox Express is the best RAD for VFP. Is this true, or is there something better?
It's absolutely true! :) Seriously, if you're looking for a RAD tool for Visual FoxPro there are basically three things for you to consider, Visual FoxExpress, Visual ProMatrix and the Visual FoxPro application wizard.
The Visual FoxPro Application Wizard is OK, but most seem to struggle just getting the most basic application up and running with it. It's documentation leaves also much to be desired. It also doesn't offer nearly as many features as Visual FoxExpress or Visual ProMatrix.
VFE and VPM both have their strengths and weaknesses. Both offer data dictionaries that go far beyond the capabilities of the Visual FoxPro database container, both offer wizards that do more than the standard VFP wizards, etc. The VFE framework offers a richer object model than the VPM framework and has better support for client-server and views in general. VPM takes a more FoxPro 2.6 like approach than VFE, so if you're coming from a 2.6 background it's probably easier to get up and running with right away.
