>>Uh, you're not noticing the overbounding self-promotion and opportunism there? I don't watch Fox News, unless there is an actual news story (when they are pretty decent), and don't even know who this guy is. But this is spin of the first order. I can't imagine any evangelical preacher laying it on thicker without busting a neck vessel. This guy is off to the races in pursuit of his next desired goal. "I'm just being honest" from a public commentator -- watch out.

>>PS -- Just as an aside, the word "penultimate" has to be among the most misused words in the English language. People use it all the time as "more than ultimate." (Huh?) In fact it means second.

>Have you ever watched the Unreverend Jessie Jackson, Al Sharpton or Wolf blitzer? Same stuff. So don't cast aspersions on fox news for doing it, they all do it.

I can't stand Jackson or Sharpton. Surprised?

The last time I rolled my eyes at Jesse was about a week or two ago. He demanded a meeting with the head of the Grammy Awards to protest the new rules which he interpreted as racism toward black categories. Demanded. That was the irritating part. Jesse, just please go away. What an ego hound. And I can assure you many blacks feel the same way, this greyhound still claiming to speak for an entire race. There is a great passing scene in Spike Lee's brilliant documentary about Katrina, "When the Levees Broke." They are in a van shooting footage, the flood and excavation still going on, when suddenly Jesse turns up in the wreckage of New Orleans. One of the voices in the van -- I suspect Spike's -- says he must have heard the cameras. Sure, Spike did too, but at least he had the artistic integrity and ability to turn it into art and not just another Jesse moment.
