Do you want a developer tool or an end user tool?

(Using SqlServer as the database). For example, I use Devexpress as the report writer and it needs to start off with a Dataset or a DataTable. So I am looking for a 'Generic' Dataset/DataTable generator which would ask for a Database and allow entries like Date ranges, Drop Downs for 'In the List' etc. , which would be based on fileds in the database table(s) selected.
