On all installations I have done, where a table name could be named Site, if I type it in a query, it will not uppercase it, assuming I type in lowercase. On a recent installation done by someone else on another server, I have this behavior, the one you described. It might be normal but I am just trying to figure out what setting is affecting that. Once discovered, I would then be able to know if it can be changed after or it had to be set as is during the installation.
