That's a self-fulfilling prophesy if you want illegals to be crims. There's nobody more dangerous than the wo/man with nothing to lose.

I'd also recommend looking at Britain's history of deportation to the United States and then to Australia. Basically people had to steal to survive and once caught they would be banished to an awful colony away from where the good people live. While some here might regard that as a wonderful solution, compare how the nations have done and check whether there is an underclass comprising those original criminals or whether they did OK once given a chance. Seems to me that you're better off trying to create a useful niche for determined and vigorous people rather than forcing them away and completely missing out on the fruits of their vigor.
