After backing up (even an invalid project needs to be saved), open the file as a table and PACK it. This may reduce the size, and the problem may be with some of the deleted records or memo bloat.

I that doesn't work, next, open a new project, add some basic files like your main menu and main PRG and do a build project. You may find that almost everything in your project is added automatically so there is little to add by hand.
