>>I do disagree with you about Yankee Stadium, even though I have never been there in person. I have been to Fenway Park many times and from a pretty young age considered it holy ground. You look out at left field and realize Ted Williams, Carl Yastrzemski, and Jim Rice patrolled it for about 50 years. The Citgo sign. The green monster. Babe Ruth himself and Ty Cobb walked there. Maybe I should have chosen Fenway over Yankee Stadium.

There you go! ;-)

But you know what? The new ballparks are better in every way except history. Have you been to Fenway any time recently? The seats are small and uncomfortable, the sight lines are terrible (often with a pole in the way), traffic and parking are nightmares. Every baseball fan should go to Fenway -- once. Camden Yards in Baltimore launched an era of modern baseball parks that are a thousand times better in every way. They are all gems, with the exception of the new Comiskey Park here. I'm sorry, U.S. Cellular Field.

FWIW my favorite of them, not that I would include it on a landmarks list because there is almost zero history there yet, is Coors Field in Denver. Now there is a place to enjoy a nice summer evening.
