I found that I can include the following code in my C# class (not based on System.Web.UI.Page ) and it works:
System.Web.HttpContext.Current.Session["ErrorMessage"] = "Error message description";
System.Web.HttpContext.Current.Response.Redirect("ErrorMessage.aspx");
I am sure that what Michel suggested, creating a base class for all classes, is a better solution, in the long run, but it is something I need to understand better.
