>>>I had a solution based on print2pdf running for a few years (not for frx/lbx reports, but to convert doc files to pdf), and had to abandon it for that reason. Switched to using the pdf plugin for Word 2007 or later, but Word is not suited for batch processes (memory consumption grows, dialog suppression is not covering every possible dialog, the bad file list grows and has to be cleaned up manually - no API for that - and once it does about 200 documents it just gets stuck and has to be killed). So I switched to TextControl, which is blazingly fast and has fewer glitches than Word - but that doesn't solve your problem, it's got nothing to do with frxes.

>Sure it can - it's an ActiveX. The button toolbar, though, hangs VFP with a nice C0000005 or just freezes it, but then it's no problem to roll your own. The other contender, TextDynamic (http://www.wpcubed.com/products/richtextbox/index.htm), which I used with before, doesn't sit right with VFP9SP2 - or at least I couldn't get the demo to run with it properly. Anyway, in that one the export-to-pdf is deemed to be something you'd run only on a web server, and costs a lot more.

>They went with the diversified pricing scheme (which is such a waste of time, really, to read all of it and understand what exactly each option means), so... see for yourself: http://www.textcontrol.com/en_US/products/activex/pricing/. The forum is fine, if the problem is anywhere near serious, the guys respond rather quickly. There's trouble if you use multiple languages, though, because it just decides which keyboard to use, based on the codepage of the text where your cursor is... which is ridiculous in Unicode (which is what you'd use if your text is really multilingual). And that keyboard layout is switched without warning, and there's no way to turn it off. Looking for a good event where to hook in to reset it.

yeah, I saw the prices and they WAY out of my range :-(

Thanks
