What exactly are you trying to do - is it something specific to COM/DCOM?

If you're in a form or control, you could look at the .KeyPress event. Programmatically, there's LASTKEY( ). There is special handling for the ESCAPE key, look at SET ESCAPE and ON ESCAPE.
