The windows scheduler has a reputation of being a bit flaky sometime.

When you have the task-manger up - are you sure you're showing processes from all users?
One option is to remove the item completely from the windows scheduler and re-create it.

Something I've tried to do in recent years is migrate everything from the windows scheduler to the task scheduler in SQL server - seems to work better and is of course more stable.

>I have a task in the Windows Scheduler which is having a status of Running. When I right click on it, I see the option End Task to be enable. But, the task is not showing the Task Manager nor does it appear on the desktop. When I try to End Task, nothing happens. Anyone has seen that one before?
