>>I've fought with them about medications as well. I'm dealing with very persistent migraine the last year or two and getting all my meds covered has been a real PITA.

Clearly insurer push-back isn't confined only to Georgetown or to contraception. So why the focus on forcing the Jesuits to get coverage for people who were already covered but apparently were unable to get support from their parents or physicians to avoid almost dying? Clearly these people are not very good at asserting themselves, except it would seem to give evidence before Congress that forcing others is the answer. And these people are going to be lawyers? Not sure whether we should be surprised or not. Probably not.

Should compulsion succeed, the next problem will be that premium increases will be attributed to free contraception. While some will cheer theatrically, others may not be so pleased. I would not be surprised to see dissolution of the Georgetown single policy model as a result of all this, meaning that things are driven in the wrong direction completely and the insurers will chuckle all the way to the bank.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
"
