I almost clicked "watch" instead of reply...

In the old era I was wearing a pocket watch... so while I was teaching I could sneak a peek without the obvious wrist movement.

The very next job was at a keyboard, and VAX had the ctrl+t that you could call in the middle of anything and it would show you system time... messing up your screen, had to refresh every time. Since then, I didn't really need a watch.

Nowadays I have one, in the drawer, and I'm using it only when flying, because of the limitations on mobile phones. Even so, I am happy that my life is organized in such a way that I rarely need to know the time :).
