Why make the assumption that it has not detected .NET 4.0 ? All that it says is that it *did* detect 3.5 and 2.0.
What leads you to believe the problem is related to undetected .NET 4.0 - is the above the entire log ?
IAC, according to this : http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms143506(v=sql.110).aspx SQL2012 will install .NET 4.0 as a prerequisite if required.
