Get Total Commander from
www.ghisler.com - it's actually a file manager, old Norton Commander style, with loads of goodies - FTP, command line, universal file viewer, file search, internal zipper, frequently used folder (or other command) shortcuts etc etc. Among other things, it has folder compare (recursive, if you want) and file compare (good enough). You get into zips as if they were folders, and can manipulate files from and into them - check sizes, add, delete etc.
Once I got used to it (about one hour), I understood I have always hated windows exploder.
And, ah, BTW, it's blazingly fast if you turn icons off in folder windows/tabs.
