>Well, this one dates from a few years. So, it is surprising it supports WiFi. When I talked to a cell phone dealer a while ago, it was mentioned that I would have to ugprade my router to have a WiFi compliant if I would want my smart phone to connect to it. Does this mean I am already OK with that?
Yes.
Sounds like the cell dealer wants to sell you a new router < g >. WiFi can run over any 802.11 protocol - a, b, g, or n (and others as they are implemented).
