A program I was testing has replaced a few system files (winsock.dll, wsock32.dll and icmp.dll) in the SYSTEM32 directory. It's own uninstall program does not seem to have put them back.
I have no trouble expanding the original files from my NT Server CD, but I cannot seem to replace them - they're probably being held open by the server.
Unfortunately, we have the server on NTFS - so I cannot boot to DOS to simply expand and copy the original files.
So - how do I manage to fix these files?
TIA
