In checking my CDs, interestingly enough, this did come with VS 6. The file date is Jan 22, 1998. After doing some checking, I suspect that it may have something to do with IE 4.01. I've found references to it in the registry connected with the browser. My mention of SP 2 came from the tooltip text as well. In examining an SCX file with this control. It is indeed the control you're looking for.
