>>It wasn't a big deal, so I redid the site with Dreamweaverr/HTML/CSS/javascript and now it flies on the Godaddy Linux server.
LAMP rules in the web server space. If you haven't already, check out Joomla that already runs 5-10% of all internet websites and growing. I was particularly interested in its data-driven backbone which makes it very easy for $29 templates to resize and reposition layout depending on device and screen size. Also seems to me that with local data caching getting closer, more and more functionality will focus at the Browser- meaning Javascript today and whatever Apple and Google decide tomorrow. Or I suppose it is possible that ASP.NET will take over.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
