A warning to all astronomy fans - never peer into a telescope when it is aimed at the Sun. If you don't have special equipment - as I assume this solar telescope is - a regular telescope can project an image to a piece of paper or other white object; this image can be watched safely. Such an image should be enough to see sunspots, if there happen to be any.
Difference in opinions hath cost many millions of lives: for instance, whether flesh be bread, or bread be flesh; whether whistling be a vice or a virtue; whether it be better to kiss a post, or throw it into the fire... (from Gulliver's Travels)
