I share your problems with Skype. My wife uses it and is troubled by it frequently not ringing, Emails alerts for voicemails which don't seem to arrive anywhere near the time the voicemail arrives, video calling where the sound drops out etc. And as you say. constant fiddling with the interface. Also a couple of years ago they announced at short notice that a batch of phone numbers could no longer be used and users had to change their numbers.
