>Have a look at FM Pro, it does most of the data structure work, review data structures and make changes, then just drop the data out of vfp as csv and import using pgadmin, easy.

Neil, does FM Pro have a longer name, like FileMaker or something like that? Googling turned up a lot of radio stations :)
I also found a product here:

http://www.sobolsoft.com/foxpropostgresql/

and I can also use the VFP Upsizing wizard to generate the SQL script, make minor modifications to run this in pgadmin and then I have a tool that generates SQL that will take the data from a VFP dbf and insert it into the database.
