>>>>>>I would disagree about "crap is cheap" vs "good stuff is expensive" I go shopping to BJ (local food club, like a big store). I see many people loading their carriages with soda bottles and I load my carriage with water bottles. Which one do you think is more expensive and is less healthy? <g>

>>>No, I don't think I did. I just didn't comment on it. I wanted to jump on the idea of people buying tap water and thinking it's better just because it's in a bottle.

>>I agree. At home I don't drink bottle water. But when I go to the gym it is easier for me just to grab a bottle. Of course, one can say that you could wash and keep refilling the same bottle. But then, they won't be able to call me lazy :).

>Actually, that's not such a good idea. Apparently the plastic begins to break down into the water after about the 3rd reuse.
I presume this is with the "eco-friendly" plastic that is designed to automatically break down after a few years? I'd think that the new "eco-friendly" plastic wasn't so eco-friendly as it encouraged dispsable thinking rather than encouraging reuse/recycling.
