I've done that and everything I see is basically people complaining that it's different. In otherwords, they are being pushing out of their comfort zone and aren't happy because of that. I don't see anything having to do with "I used feature x and have not found a way to do it"

Everything I did in the old-style menus I've been able to do with the ribbon. I may have to find it, but it only takes a couple of times doing that before I remember where it is. No problems.
