Yes, SSL is supported since a while and I have been able to use it and test it. It is this SFTP that I am trying to avoid having to use a third party as I will have to go back to the drawing board with the FTP class I have been using since a while to do everything from .NET without having to go with a third party.
I guess if they would have included it in 4.5, this would have run out of business a few small shops who rely on their SFTP components for their revenue generation. Because, from my research a few months ago, I have found a lot of those out there. So, there is definitely a need. And, it would have surprised me that Microsoft would have included its support in 4.5.
