The server edition is $10,000 per year, and the developer edition is $5000 per year per CPU. Perhaps they have other price lists? I would need the developer edition for my own use. The free version is for evaluation only.

>5k$? This is the version for a web server with unlimited user. You will not need this. The pricing is confusing.

>You buy a concurent user licence (server included, for the lifetime of the server (so it ends with a new version, thats the bad news)) pricing on the volume you buy, something between 25-250€ (as far as I remember), they offer alternative pricing models (even some share). You have to ask.

>Developer fee is per year, but they seem to respond to developer wishes, what is more then you get from M$.

>>Not every developer can afford the $5000 per CPU per year fee for the Web Client version of Servoy. It does look like an interesting product.
>>
>>The reality I have dealt with in the San Francisco Bay Area for the last 20 years, is that clients and companies are very specific about what development tools you will be allowed to use. A software cycle has a limited life span so you have to buy the latest greatest tool, invest time to learn it, and survive. Just keep a smile on your face. :)

>>>I also consider Servoy at the moment, but the current price structure disqualifies it for relatively low price applications, unfortunately.

If you are willing to bet that Windows will keep on dominating, which is not going to happen, you can go for .net. However, if your applications also shall run on other devices, like Apple or Unix computers, tablets or smartphones, .net is a dead end.
